Brockstedt Mandalas Federico (“BMF”) is seeking a detail-oriented, organized paralegal with financial experience to join our Mass Tort Department, serving as a critical liaison between our legal team and finance department.
At BMF, you’ll play a vital role in managing financial processes, supporting case progression, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service throughout their legal journey.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Serve as the department’s financial point person, processing settlement disbursements, managing expense reports, and assisting with budgetary matters
- Prepare and manage settlement sheets, coordinate signatures, and oversee check disbursements to clients and co-counsel
- Monitor budget expenditures, analyze variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Coordinate travel arrangements, process invoices, and manage conference registrations
- Conduct client intakes, gather information, and facilitate retainer signings
- Draft and file complaints, discovery materials, and plaintiff fact sheets
- Identify and resolve potential liens, analyzing validity and gathering supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate case files and monitor important docket filings
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment while handling multiple priorities efficiently
