On behalf of the community of Salisbury, MD, we are demanding Perdue Agribusiness stop releasing toxic PFAS chemicals into the local groundwater. We sent a 90-day Notice of Intent to sue the company under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, calling for an immediate halt to the discharge of PFAS into Salisbury’s drinking water and groundwater. Perdue now has 90 days to act. If it does not, we will ask a federal judge to intervene.
This notice follows a class action lawsuit filed last October in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, where BMF represents more than 500 Salisbury residents.
