BMF attorney Matt Legg was featured in a WJZ news segment highlighting our client, Harford County Board of Education’s federal lawsuit against Meta, Google, ByteDance, and Snap Inc. The case is one of six selected to move forward as a bellwether trial in nationwide litigation targeting social media’s role in the youth mental health crisis.
The suit alleges that the companies knowingly designed addictive platforms that negatively impact young users and have overwhelmed school systems with increased demand for mental health services. Harford County alone cites nearly 40,000 students affected.
