Last Friday, we filed a new lawsuit on behalf of two Salisbury residents against Perdue AgriBusiness over PFAS contamination in drinking water. The suit accuses Perdue of illegally dumping toxic “forever chemicals” into nearby streams and alleges that contaminated wastewater and sludge are leaching into the groundwater.
The case comes as a separate class action—also led by our firm on behalf of more than 500 residents—continues in federal court.
“Simply giving people POET systems and testing doesn’t solve this problem,” said BMF attorney Phil Federico. “It doesn’t begin to solve it. They’ve got to solve it at the source.”
