Our latest lawsuit, filed in late July under the federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), targets Perdue Farms for contaminating Salisbury, Maryland’s drinking water with PFAS linked to cancer and other serious health risks.
This case follows a class action lawsuit we filed in late 2024 on behalf of 500 nearby residents, alleging Perdue learned of its pollution but failed to warn residents for over a year. The complaint alleges the company showed “reckless indifference to the health and safety of the public” and demands it pay for clean water and health monitoring.
“The fact that they’ve had two years to do an investigation and they have not … is exceedingly frustrating,” said Partner Phil Federico, who represents the plaintiffs.
