We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Legal Client Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the client experience by gathering key information, assessing needs, and connecting individuals with the appropriate legal resources.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment, with the ability to be based in our Dover, Wilmington, or Lewes offices.
Essential Duties:
- Client Communication: Interview prospective clients via phone or email to understand their cases and provide a compassionate presence.
- Information Gathering: Collect comprehensive details about potential clients’ cases, including contact information and relevant documents.
- Legal Screening: Assess whether the potential case aligns with the firm’s practice areas and identify any conflicts of interest.
- Scheduling: Arrange initial consultation appointments with attorneys for screened candidates.
- Onboarding: Complete necessary paperwork and create initial case files for new clients.
- Data Entry: Enter client information into computer systems and maintain organized records.
- Follow-Up: Provide updates and gather additional information from clients as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- A foundational understanding of legal principles and terminology is beneficial. Knowledge of Personal Injury, Employment Law and Litigation strongly preferred.
- Manage multiple cases and details effectively.
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail time management and multi-tasking.
- Ability to respond professionally under pressure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applications and/or systems (i.e., Adobe, Internet).
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred), or equivalent experience.
Rate of Pay:
$23.00 – $25.48 per hour.
