BMF Partner Phil Federico has been recognized as an Influential Marylander in Law by The Daily Record. This annual recognition honors individuals who have made significant contributions to their professions while demonstrating exceptional leadership and a lasting impact across Maryland. This marks Phil’s second time receiving this distinction, having previously been recognized as an Influential Marylander in 2021.
As leader of the firm’s Mass Tort, Class Action, and Environmental Law practices, Phil has built a distinguished career representing individuals, communities, and governmental entities in high-stakes litigation. He began his career in medical malpractice litigation and has gone on to help lead landmark mass tort and environmental cases that have resulted in more than $1 billion in verdicts and settlements. In recent years, he and his team have focused on environmental cases involving PFAS contaminated groundwater and air pollution, advocating for cleaner environments and helping protect communities throughout Maryland.
His work reflects a deep commitment to the people and communities he serves. Whether representing an individual client or pursuing complex litigation with statewide impact, Phil is known for his dedication, strategic advocacy, and pursuit of meaningful results.
This year’s honoree class was 61 individuals, with only 9 individuals honored in the category of Law.
