WILMINGTON, DE —Nicholas Tyler, Esq., an attorney with Brockstedt Mandalas Federico LLC, has earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. His degree was officially conferred on September 1, 2026.
An LL.M. in Taxation is one of the most advanced credentials an attorney can earn, providing specialized training beyond a standard J.D. For clients, it means more sophisticated guidance on the tax implications of trust administration, business succession, entity formation, and wealth transfer. It also strengthens the firm’s ability to advise on complex tax matters, giving clients deeper in-house expertise.
Over the past two years, Nick dedicated countless evenings and weekends to his studies while continuing to represent clients at the firm. He focuses his practice on estate and trust planning, estate administration, business planning, and financial and trust institution advice, an area of law where tax considerations are frequently central to the advice clients need.
“This program pushed me to think more critically about the tax issues that shape so much of what we do for our clients, from trust administration to business succession,” said Nick “I’m grateful I was able to apply what I was learning in real time, and I’m looking forward to bringing that added depth to the work ahead.”
Barbara Snapp Danberg, a partner at the firm who practices in estate and trust planning, tax, and business succession planning, praised Nick’s achievement. “Nick took on this program while still fully committed to his clients, and that says a great deal about his work ethic and his dedication to this profession,” said Danberg. “His expanded tax expertise is already benefiting the clients we serve together, and we couldn’t be prouder of him.”
Managing Partner Glenn Mandalas said Nick’s achievement reflects BMF’s broader commitment to client service. “Investing in our attorneys’ expertise is how we ensure our clients across the region continue receiving the knowledgeable and sophisticated service they’ve come to expect from this firm,” said Mandalas. “Nick’s accomplishment is a direct benefit to the families and businesses we represent, and it’s exactly the kind of growth we want to see across our team.”
Nick has been a Delaware lawyer since 2010 and is also licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He earned his B.S. from The College of New Jersey in 2007 and his J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2010. He joined the firm after nearly a decade in compliance roles at a major global financial institution, including serving as head of Global Sanctions Compliance Advisory and Investigations.
